Do you feel like you’ve been in a constant state of responsiveness? This may keep you from dreaming, visualizing and setting new goals. Why? Fear is the energy that activates our negative character traits and shortcomings. What riggers fear? Circumstances that we don’t have control over. But we are not helpless.
There is an antidote! “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything give thanks.” Gratitude shifts your whole mindset. Next, redirect your energy toward things you CAN change. Get out a piece of paper and write a T on it. In the left column write the things you have control over. In the right column, write down the things you have no control over. Now focus on the present moment and take one small action on one of the things you can. This will boost your overall mood! Congratulate yourself on your accomplishment and take another small action.
